Standards of Practice

Pursuant to Section 4759.05:

"The Ohio Board of Dietetics shall:
(A) Adopt, amend or rescind rules pursuant to Chapter 119 of the Revised code to carry out the provosions of this chapter, including rules governing the following:
***(8) Standards of professional responsibility and practice adopted by the American Dietetic Association."

In 2009 the Board reviewed and revised the Standard of Practice rules in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) including:

4759-6-01 - Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care
4759-6-02 - Standards of Professional Practice
4759-6-03 - Interpretation of Standards

Dietitians licensed in Ohio should familiarize themselves with the new rules.
