Steps to Enroll as a Student at the Quia website:

Follow these steps to enroll:

Step 1: Go to the Quia Website at http://www.quia.com/web .

Step 2: Now, click the area labeled Students. When the next page appears:

  • If you already have a Quia Account: Enter your username and password and continue to Step 3.
  • If you do not have an account setup: Click the link Create my free account. Fill out the form that appears. Select "Student" as the account type. When you are done, press the Create my account button.
Step 3: You should now be in the Student Zone. Type in the class code in the text field and press the Add class button. (Class codes are listed at the bottom of the page, please complete the one that is appropriate for you)

Now that you have registered for your instructor's course, you can view your class web page, take quizzes, view your quiz results, view time spent on Quia activities, and read your instructor's feedback from your Quia account.

Step 4: To view your class page, click on the View link under title Class. You will see the name of your class at the top of the page. Next, you will see the link read the material for this class module. Click on this link to read your module.

Step 5: Once you have read your module and feel ready to take the Quiz, close the class module window and go to the My Quia activities and "quizzes". Click on the quiz listed for this module. Type in your first and last name, and then click Start Now. Answer questions 1 - 7 then click Submit Answers. This will take you to
your score summary.

If you pass the quiz (correctly answering >70%) you will have successfully completed the class [module].

Step 6: Print a copy of the score/results page to use as the certificate of completion.

Click Done at the bottom of the page after printing score summary.

Make sure that you sign the score sheet and record the date on it indicating you passed the quiz. Please note that the score sheet does not look like a traditional certificate.

Copies of the signed and dated score reports must be attached to your Ohio Board of Dietetics license renewal application to meet the Jurisprudence education requirement.

Additionally, the Commission on Dietetic Registration has indicated that the Quia score report certificate is adequate documentation for purposes of documenting continuing education for the Professional Development Portfolio.
